Role of Election Commissioner Moved to Office of the Chief Electoral Officer

EDMONTON – Bill 22, the Reform of Agencies, Boards and Commissions and Government Enterprises Act came into effect on November 22, 2019, dissolving the Office of the Election Commissioner and transferring all its responsibilities to the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (Elections Alberta). Chief Electoral Officer Releases 2018 Enumeration Report

EDMONTON – Today the Chief Electoral Officer, Glen Resler, released his report on the 2018 Provincial Enumeration, pursuant to section 21(4) of the Election Act. The enumeration was conducted between August 1 and October 5, 2018 in an effort to register voters in advance of the 2019 Provincial General Election. 2019 Provincial General Election Official Results Released

EDMONTON – Elections Alberta today released official results for the 2019 Provincial General Election. A record number of votes were cast in the provincial general election at 1,905,520. A record number of electors also chose to vote in advance polls, with 36.7% of electors who voted, choosing this voting option. EDMONTON – The final poll has been counted! The unofficial results have been released. Unofficial voter turnout is 71.1% based on 1,880,508 votes cast and 2,643,453 registered electors. 2019 Provincial General Election Advance Poll Vote Anywhere Unofficial Results

EDMONTON –Chief Electoral Officer, Glen Resler has released the unofficial results for one of the two outstanding polls to be reported. Approximately 138,907 ballots have been counted. In total approximately 223,000 total ballots were cast by electors outside of their electoral divisions.
