Official Results for Lethbridge-West By-Election

EDMONTON – Elections Alberta has announced the Official Results for the Lethbridge-West by-election held on December 18, 2024.
The successful candidate is Rob Miyashiro, representing the Alberta New Democratic Party.
Official Results are available on the Elections Alberta website, elections.ab.ca, under “Election Results” or by visiting officialresults.elections.ab.ca. Results include information on the number of ballots cast, number of electors on the List of Electors including new registrations, and voting area results for each candidate.
The voter turnout was 36.0%. The following table provides the voter turnout figures for the Lethbridge-West by-election, as well as the comparative results from the 2023 Provincial General Election.

Electors who voted used the following voting methods:
- 40.8% voted on Election Day (in-person voting on December 18, 2024).
- 49.0% voted in advance (in-person voting between Tuesday, December 10, and Saturday, December 14).
- 7.7% voted by special ballot (voting in the returning office and voting by mail).
- 2.5% voted at a mobile voting opportunity (voting opportunities provided in supportive living and long-term care facilities, hospitals and treatment centres, emergency shelters, and community support centres).
